I grew up on a farm in Minnesota. Went to the Association Free Lutheran Bible School for two years after graduation. Attended NDSU in Fargo, ND for a few years during which I was briefly in AFROTC, and got married. After that I started to move around, spending time in So. California, the Philippines, Florida, SF Bay Area, back to Fargo, and then to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Please can I stop now?

Don't ask me why but I the first thing I saw in that photo was a skull. Not the flowers, the stump in the background.
I'm really not a morbid person! :-)
That is a weird looking stump.
You know that was the first thing that Paul McCartney ever said to Heather Mills.
Just sayn'
The stump is actually from the top of a pinon pine that birds had nested in. We removed the tree when we built our garage and I kept that section of log because I thought it was interesting... like a gnome house or something.
It does look sort of skull-like in a way.
